The King turned around and began to march back the way he had come.  He was proud of himself for at least accomplishing what he had come there for.  Hold on men, we are on our way.  Taking a few steps, he soon recognized that the giant wasn't following. He glanced behind to see the Colossalen staring down at him.

A bit annoyed, he yelled up to Kygron, "What? Is something wrong?"

Kygron could only fold his arms and shake his head from side to side.  Does the small man actually expect to walk the whole way there on his own?

"This isn't going to work King."

"WHAT?!  Are you changing your mind about this already?"

"No, no, no! What I mean is this…your walking?"

"My walking?" question the King.  Before Kygron could reply, he watched as the King's small eyes began to widen from the realization of their predicament.

"Oh yes…my walking.  I can see how that could prove to be a problem. I would only be slowing us down huh?"

Kygron nodded.

"You don't happen to have a horse for my size, now would you?" the King said, chuckling slightly.

Kygron gave a small smile.  As the King laughed, he could see the disappointment and fear in his face again.

Wanting to get this over with, Kygron bent down and leaned his hand toward the small man.  "We must hurry."

The King hesitated for a minute with the huge limb resting on the ground before him. The same hand twitched slightly.  Kygron was growing impatient again.  Slowly he lifted his palm up from the ground and went to reach for the King.

"Woah! Hold on their my friend."  Kygron drew back.

"Oh, come now King. I won't hurt you. Just hop on."

"No! I…I refused to be carried like that."  The King saw the huge hand ball into a fist but then relax.

"Well I'm sorry your ma-je-sty, but what else can I do?"

"Do you perhaps have some pocket or pouch I may…ride in?"  Those words sounded so funny coming out of his mouth for the only thing he had ever ridden in was a carriage.

"Of course King," he sighed, "I wouldn't think of carrying you in anything less.  How about we put you right..."  He stood up and began patting his body down, searching for a safe spot that was fit for a King.

"Right there seems fine.  Don't you think?" the King said pointing.

Kygron followed where the King was pointing.  There across his chest was the strap that held up his sword on his back.  It had a pocket just deep and wide enough for the King to fit.  Perfect!

"If you think you will be happy there, then it's fine with me."

"Ha! I don't think I would say happy, but I'll feel a bit more secure there."

Bending down again, Kygron fully opened his palm for the King.  The King wasted no time, and began to step forward, slowly.  He didn't want to anger the young giant and run the risk of being swooped in the air unexpectedly.  Placing his hand on Kygron's pinky for stability, he lifted himself up and then took a seat in the center of the leathery palm.

"See, now that wasn't so bad."

"Easy for you to say," the King muttered.

Kygron then curled his fingers up and brought his other hand under the king for support.  This was the very first time he had ever held a human, well, like this at least.  He wanted to be sure not to frighten the King any more than he already had so he stood up very slowly.  For the King, it was still more of a jolt up in the air that left him a bit dizzy and uneasy.  Before he could recover, something pinched him by the nape of his cloak and lifted him even higher into the air.

"Alright, in you go." With that, Kygron deposited him into the pocket.  "Are you ok in there?" he said peering in.  His voice vibrated all around the King.  The leather pocket was layered inside with a type of silk fabric.  It was actually quite comfortable inside, but the King wouldn't dare admit it.

"Yes, I'm fine," the King grumbled, sitting down inside.

"Good.  Now we may go."

"Oh thank heavens! Finally!" the King said throwing up his hands.

*******************************************************************************

The ride had proven to be a bumpy one with Kygron jogging along, but it allowed the King time to think which had been difficult with the sounds of the Coloassalen's heavy breathing around him.  Still, he thought again of how his men were managing.  How many of them were alive now?  Was the war even still going on, and how was the General?  Probably out of his mind by now.  And what about Emson?  Oh dear Emson!  He hoped his friend hadn't lost hope and was still where he had left him.  He didn't know how close they were to reaching him, but this would probably be a good time to tell Kygron about his companion.  Hopefully, he wouldn't be upset by the news. Ha! That would surely seem like a lost cause.

Grabbing on to the silky fabric around him, he lifted himself up.  Now standing up in the swaying pocket he yelled out, "Kygron!  Kygron!"

He didn't respond for he had fallen deep into thought.  The King tried again, calling out his name a few more times but to no avail.  He had to find another way to get the young Colossalen's attention and fast.  He didn't know how much more time he had left.

The King took his chances at patting silky fabric a bit, but soon realized he would have to be a bit more forceful. There was a thick leathery layer between him and his carrier.  He then started pounding onto the silky fabric to reach the massive wall of a chest behind it.

"Kygron! Kiiiiii-griiiin!"

Feeling the slight vibrations coming from the pouch, he looked downed, "Yes King. Is everything well with you in there?  Do we need to stop?"

"No, no.  Don't stop.  We just got going.  I only wanted you to know something."

"And what might that be…perhaps another request?"

"No, of course not.  What I want you to know…well it's about when I was back there near the cave with you.  At the time I was alone, but I failed to mention that I have a very close friend, who's waiting for my return.  Excuse me for being so forgetful."

Kygron pace started to slow down.  There was a long pause before he spoke.

"A friend?" He had been picking up another human scent nearing the end of the fields.  Now this confirmed his assumptions.  "So how many men are there waiting for you King?"

"Men?  Oh no, there's no men.  There's just one."

"Are you sure you haven't forgotten that there are others?"  The King could tell he was beginning to lose trust in him.

"Yes, I'm sure. There is absolutely no one else other than my one and only counselor, Emson."

"Hmmm.  Fine, I'll take your word for it."  The King gave a sigh of relief.  "So where is this Emson? He wouldn't be down the below the hill by any chance?"

"Uhh yes…yes he is."

"That's great!" Kygron said with a bit of sarcasm.

"Again I apologize for not mentioning it earlier to you."

"It quite alright King.  Your little friend will just further help me in getting used to being around…humans."  Kygron really was thankful he would only have to deal with just one more human, at least for now.  It was the part of trying to convince them he wasn't a monster that he didn't look forward to.  "I believe we will be meeting him soon.  Look! We're approaching the edge of the field."

The King had to jump a few times before successfully grabbing onto the edge of the pocket.  Pulling himself up, he was in amazement at the view and could see they were indeed close to the edge.
This part is only about Kygron and the King's travel to go get the counselor Emson. I was hoping they get him by now -___- but still they havn't yet in this chapter.

This chapter is shorter than I would have liked it to be and a bit rushed in some parts and im sorry for that. Please excuse my dead beat brain.

Chapter 7 they will finally reach Emson and travel towards where the Kings men are encamped at [link]
